advantage
Nylon nuts offer a significant advantage over regular metal nuts due to their excellent insulation properties, making them non-conductive.
Their non-metallic composition eliminates concerns related to eddy currents and signal interference when exposed to electrical currents or other signals, making them particularly suitable for industries like communication that require minimal interference.
Nylon nuts exhibit commendable resistance to acids and alkalis, with PVDF nuts ranking highest in this regard, closely followed by polypropylene. Both materials demonstrate robust resistance to acidic and alkaline environments.
Disadvantages:
The primary drawback of nylon nuts lies in their torque and strength, which aren't as robust as those of conventional metal nuts. Excessive torque can potentially lead to slippage or head fracture.
Nylon nuts may experience larger size discrepancies due to various factors affecting plastic molding, such as shrinkage inconsistencies, fluctuations in temperature and humidity, and variations in the molding cycle. Additionally, the pliable nature of typical plastics renders the conventional ring gauge measurement method ineffective.

Application:
The Hex Head Lock Nut serves as a crucial fastening component used to secure items in place. It's specifically designed with torque requirements in mind, and we ensure precise torque control to meet our customers' specifications.
These nuts utilize nylon washers, known as nylon lock nuts or colloquially referred to as "Nepalese caps," to facilitate locking. Primarily employed in threaded screw or bolt connections, the nylon ring within the nut deforms upon locking. This deformation helps fill any gaps between the connected components, effectively securing them in place.
